This course was designed using the official Care Certificate documentation and workbook as published by the UK Department of Health, as well as additional materials published by Gavin Wright. The course author, (Gavin), is a very experienced health & social care lecturer and an emergency medical technician. His experience has taken him to several European and African countries where he has been honoured with awards and requests to speak at international conferences. He has been teaching this subject since 2015 but has been teaching health and social care related subjects since 1993.

As well as holding teaching qualifications, he is an IQA, an assessor, mental health first aid instructor, moving and handling consultant and a HGV Class 1 driver.

He likes to think that this course is his first venture into Artificial Intelligence (AI), however, those who know him would beg to differ.,
